Tasmanian contemporary naive artist, Grace Garton is a multi-disciplinary artist in Rosebery, West Coast.
Grace began her art studies at The Sydney City Art
Institute in NSW, completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts.
During the mid-eighties, she entered the animation industry,
working for various studios across Australia.
Grace continued to work in this industry for 25 years, working in various departments, from cell painter to head of design.
In 2006 Grace began a small online business selling her art dolls and working as a full-time artist.

Inspired by nature, vintage objects and photos, Grace works with textiles, mixed media and paint.

Her current theme of home and the surrounding landscape of Rosebery, West Coast Tasmania, see’s Grace revisit her paints after several years working in mixed media.

Collage and monotype print making are other practices Grace is pursuing.

Grace has had several solo exhibitions and group shows in Melbourne and Tasmania and has built up a following of her work worldwide.
